ABHS has a very motivating environment and a majority of the care team and staff were very professional and relatively compassionate. I enjoyed the positive empowerment and the structure and would highly recommend this particular center and program, but only for the seriously determined, and those who truly seek a lifestyle of sobriety.

I went into ABHS not knowing what to expect. I'm so grateful for the time spent there. I learned so much from that place and the Care Team Staff was wonderful, and the Counselors were outstanding.

I don't know no this place from the next when it comes to treatment facilities but I do know this, I am a certified drug counselor in the state of Washington who used to do drugs in my day and you're only going to get as far as you're willing to go. It doesn't matter what facility you go to.People live in this world where they feel that addiction is a disease instead of a choice. You learned it by your environment that you chose to be around. Treatment consists of little more than stopping a given behaviour. True diseases worsen if left untreated. A patient with cancer is not cured if locked in a cell, whereas an alcoholic is automatically cured. No access to alcohol means no alcoholism. A person with schizophrenia will not remit if secluded. Sepsis will spread and Parkinson disease will worsen if left untreated. Criminal courts do not hand down verdicts of “not guilty by virtue of mental illness” to drunk drivers who kill pedestrians. You don’t need the program, you don’t need AA or NA. you need time, will, and a good network of people you can trust to be there during your sobriety. That’s it. So when people say oh that place sucked or that place this. First ask yourself, how many have you been to, and what are your expectations before you go? Because if your Idea of treatment is a country club, look at all the movie stars that go to those and still use. Cause in the end it's will that gets you where you need to be.

This place has it's issues, it really does and at times it can be poorly managed but I legit learned more then I ever thought I could and because of this place I am clean and know a better way of staying clean. So I am grateful for coming here an the time that I did spend here. Also grateful for some of the staff members I met that actually did there jobs

it was alright... i went there for 90 days in the beginning of 2013. It was just what i needed at the time, however, it was the alternative to jail and felt like jail more than anything. At the time, i needed that discipline and to be told what to do and were to be.After getting out, re-started IOP immediately back in my hometown. I was already enrolled in it prior to my stay at ABHS so they didnt have to do any work finding that for me, all they had to do was send a compliance report each month i was there to probation and the treatment services i was enrolled inThey didnt send it6 for a while, and had to be asked about it, Luckily. I actually asked for a copy of my treatment reports before i left, that way i could bring it in to them in person. I still have a copy of it!! Ive been clean ever since!!! 12/12/12 baby!!!
